"Opera Anyone?"

Most people would recognize this structure if they observed it in full.  Everyone who visits Sydney, Australia will trek around Circular Quey to visit one of the most famous landmark buildings in the world, the Sydney Opera House.  As a dutiful tourist, I came to see the iconic sail-shaped music hall on a beautiful, sunny August afternoon.  Many other native Sydney residents were also milling about, enjoying a rare warm day in the middle of their winter.  Though I am not an aficionado of bustling cities, I must say that Sydney was a delight to visit with its many parks, good restaurants and excellent transportation.  On this afternoon, though, I took a break from tramping about, and curled up on a sunny patch of grass in the Royal Botanical Gardens, just next to the Opera House, to finish off a rather engrossing book.  It was a lovely, relaxing afternoon as I enjoyed the symphony of the city around me.
